 Some
of the sites to see in Yazoo City are the Triangle
Cultural Center where you can enjoy prehistoric, pioneer,
antebellum, Victorian and modern exhibits. There is also the Oakes
African-American Museum, dedicated to the history of African
Americans in Yazoo County and the Mississippi Delta.
If you are able to visit nearby Vaughan, MS make sure to stop by Greg Harkins Woodworks and watch Greg Harkins make one of his famous plantation rockers. Greg, known as "Chairmaker to the Presidents," uses techniques passed down from the mid 1800s. |
