Triangle Cultural Center
Located in the Historic Downtown District, the Triangle
Cultural Center was for seventy-four years the Main Street School. In 1977, the school
closed only to reopen on September 30, 1980, as the Triangle Cultural Center. The Triangle
has the original auditorium which is used for entertainment and houses our historic museum
on the third floor. It features a series of exhibits relating to the pre-historic,
pioneer, ante-bellum, Victorian, and modern time periods.
The Triangle building is currently under renovation.
A new addition to the Triangle is the Jerry Clower Exhibit. Here you will find various
Clower memorabilia.
Plans are being made to add a "famous Yazooans Room" and a history of
Mississippi Chemical Corporation to the Triangle.
